A valid takedown notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed; (2) identification of the infringing material, including the page URL where it appears; (3) your name, address, and email so we can reach you; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

We review every notice promptly. Material found to infringe is removed or disabled expeditiously, and we make a good-faith effort to notify the party who posted it.

Counter-notice. If your material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with: (1) identification of the removed material and where it appeared; (2) your name, address, and email; (3) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake; (4) a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district; and (5) your physical or electronic signature. We may restore the material ten to fourteen business days after receiving a valid counter-notice, unless the original complainant notifies us that it has filed a court action.

Repeat infringers lose access. Accounts or contributors who repeatedly post infringing material are removed from the publication.
