Napa Curator Verified

Request a verification visit.

A private estate, hotel, restaurant, winery, or experience that believes it belongs in Napa Curator may apply for a verification visit. Here is exactly how the program works — and what the fee does and doesn’t buy.

One — Apply

Tell us about the business below. Every application is read personally by our editors. Applying is free.

Two — We decide whether to visit

Verification is an editorial decision, and we take on a limited number of visits. Not every application is accepted — if the fit isn't there, we'll tell you plainly and promptly.

Three — The consideration fee

Accepted applications pay a flat $695 consideration fee. It covers the cost of the in-person review itself — our editors staying, dining, or doing the experience, the way a guest would.

The fee buys consideration only: not the seal, not a favorable review, not placement, not sponsorship. It is not refunded if the seal is not awarded. Businesses invited by our editors are exempt from the fee.

Four — The visit

Every verification is conducted in person, across two lenses: what is delivered — the stay, the meal, the experience itself — and how the business is run: service, presentation, systems, execution. Desk research alone never qualifies.

Five — The decision

If the experience meets the standard, the seal is awarded and the feature published. Every verification is reviewed annually — the mark reflects the last twelve months, not a reputation from a decade ago.

Apply

Applications are free. We respond to every one.

Application received — we read every one personally and respond within five business days. If accepted, we’ll send a payment link for the $695 consideration fee.
