The Denk'Art Bordeaux is Zalto's glass for wines of power and structure: Bordeaux, Rioja, Brunello, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz. Each glass is mouth-blown from lead-free crystal in Austria, and the tall, angled bowl is shaped to open up tannic reds and focus their aromatics.
It is a generous glass, standing 240mm tall with a 765ml volume that gives a serious pour room to swirl and breathe. Despite the scale it stays featherweight and balanced in the hand, and it is dishwasher-safe, which matters when a dinner party runs through a dozen stems.
Why it belongs
Napa is Cabernet country, and a mountain Cabernet deserves a vessel built for it. Pour a young Howell Mountain or Stags Leap red into a Denk'Art Bordeaux and the glass does the aeration work the wine still needs.
