How to complain about our coverage, and what happens next.

If something we have published concerns you, whether it is a question of fairness, tone, or treatment, we want to hear it. Complaints are read by the publication and taken seriously.

How to complain

Write to us through our contact page. Include the article URL, the passage or point your complaint concerns, and what you believe is wrong. The more specific the complaint, the faster we can check it.

What happens next

We check every report within two business days. If the complaint identifies a factual error, it is handled under our corrections policy: the article is updated and a dated note is added at the foot of the piece describing what changed. If we conclude the coverage was fair as published, we say so and explain why.

Copyright complaints

Complaints about copyrighted material follow a separate route. See our DMCA policy for the takedown procedure and counter-notice.
