Maison Trudon has made candles since 1643, when it supplied the court of Louis XIV. Cire is the house looking inward: a tribute to the wax at the heart of its craft, built around beeswax absolute.
The 270-gram candle burns 55 to 60 hours in Trudon’s signature amber glass vessel, handmade in Normandy. The scent opens on bergamot, waxed wood, and honey, settles into beeswax absolute with sandalwood and cinnamon, and dries down to tonka bean, patchouli, musk, and vanilla. Four percent of Cire sales support the Orne Dark Bee Conservatory.
Why it belongs
Every fireside room needs a signature scent, and Cire is the rare candle that smells like craft rather than perfume. Light it in the library, the tasting room, the guest suite. It reads as heritage, not fragrance.
