The Yukon is Solo Stove's large-format fire pit: 27 inches across and 17 inches tall, built from 304 stainless steel, engineered around a patented smokeless burn. Air feeds the fire twice, once at the base and once through the ring of holes near the rim, so the secondary burn runs dramatically hotter and the smoke that usually follows guests around the terrace never arrives.

It weighs 41.6 pounds, which is to say it stays where you put it. The bundle pairs the pit with Solo Stove's Stand, lifting the fire off stone and decking so the heat goes into the evening instead of the surface. A removable base plate and ash pan make the morning after a ten-minute job, and the steel carries a lifetime warranty.

Why it belongs

Napa Valley estates live outdoors from April through November, and the terrace fire is the natural second hearth after the tasting room. The smokeless burn matters in wine country specifically: guests can sit downwind in harvest-season clothing without carrying smoke back into the house, and the stainless body weathers into a patina that suits stone and redwood. At 27 inches it seats six to eight, which is the size of a real harvest-table conversation.

“The terrace fire, minus the smoke that follows guests indoors.”
