Jancis Robinson has tasted more wine than almost anyone alive, and she spent years frustrated by the tyranny of varietal-specific stems. The Original Wine Glass is her answer, designed with Richard Brendon: a single, mouth-blown lead-free crystal glass for everything from Champagne to sherry.
The bowl is tuned to show a wine at its best regardless of grape, with a gossamer rim that keeps the focus on what is in the glass. It is dishwasher safe, which matters more than any tasting note. Sold in sets of 2 (£96), 4 (£175), and 6.
