Created in 2015 to shake up traditional table codes, MOOD is Christofle's contemporary 24-piece silver-plated flatware service for six, presented in the maison's signature mirror-polished egg-shaped chest with the engraved Christofle crest. Six table forks, six table knives, six table spoons, and six coffee spoons rise from a walnut-lined interior base.
The egg is a decorative object in its own right, as much at home on a sideboard as on the table, and the flatware is dishwasher safe on a gentle cycle. Handmade through spinning, embossing, carving, and engraving, it carries the living heritage of a Paris silversmith working since 1830.
Why it belongs
Napa's estate dining rooms and winery hospitality programs trade on ceremony, and a silver service that doubles as sculpture suits long harvest-table dinners where the table itself is part of the occasion.
